Before you start
The official OnePlus Open manual lists Mobile network and eSIM sections, but not a complete add-menu sequence. Exact paths for other models/current versions still need confirmation; no physical test.
Confirm the exact regional model supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Keep reliable WiFi available and your QR and activation code private. EID alone does not establish installability.
Use another screen to display a QR, or the manual-entry option if your phone offers it. Same-phone QR handling varies: see the steps for the documented iPhone option. Ask support if your menu or supplied details differ.
On OnePlus (OxygenOS)
- Check compatibility and connect to WiFi — Confirm eSIM support for the exact regional model and carrier unlock. Keep reliable internet for the download. Keep the QR and activation code private; do not delete an existing eSIM.
- Look for eSIM under Settings → Mobile network — Or search Settings for eSIM. Follow the Add/scan option shown on a supported regional model. The older Wi-Fi & network path is not universal; if missing, check the exact model with OnePlus.
- Use the issuer QR or manual details — Use the delivered QR on the add/scan screen, or supplied details if manual entry is offered. If the profile is already listed or the code reports used/error, ask support rather than installing repeatedly.
- Enable the line and select it for Mobile data — Label the profile eJugaar so you can identify it. Enable it and select it under Mobile data / default data SIM. Check your existing calls/SMS line and automatic data switching too.
- Allow roaming for eJugaar data — eJugaar is a roaming service, so Data Roaming must allow its data. If the toggle is global, confirm the selected data SIM first. Do not automatically enable roaming for another line.
Another SIM or automatic data switching may incur that carrier’s charges. The plan allowance is total, not unlimited.
- Test a small webpage with WiFi off — Confirm the plan is valid and has data remaining. Briefly turn WiFi off, open a small webpage, then restore WiFi if needed. A profile or signal alone is not success; if it fails, use the ordered checks.
Installed eSIM, no internet: check in this order
These four states are different. Locate where the connection stops before changing anything.
- Installed
- The profile appears in SIM settings. This confirms a saved profile, not a connection.
- Enabled
- The line is turned on. It must also be selected for mobile data.
- Registered on the network
- The selected line has attached to a mobile network. Signal bars do not prove usable data, and this does not mean PTA registration.
- Working data
- A small webpage loads using that selected line with WiFi off. One working page does not guarantee every app or location.
- Check the plan and profile. Confirm remaining data and validity in your order. If the profile is missing or installation reports an error, stop here and ask the issuer; repeated scans are not a diagnosis.
- Check the active data line. Enable eJugaar and select it for Mobile data. Confirm which SIM will handle calls and SMS. Check automatic data switching so a test does not silently use another line.
- Allow roaming for eJugaar data. This product needs data roaming. If your phone uses a global roaming toggle, confirm the selected data SIM first. Another SIM can have its own roaming charges.
- Separate no signal from no data. Check your location and any known outage with support. No Service means the line has not connected; it does not identify the cause. Signal without a loaded webpage is a separate data problem.
- Make one small data check. Briefly switch WiFi off and load a small webpage, then restore WiFi if needed. If the page loads but one app fails, check that app’s data permission and official help. A speed test can consume much more of your allowance.
- Use only issuer-supplied settings. Do not guess an APN or copy a local carrier’s settings. Change it only if the issuer provides exact values for this profile. You can try Airplane mode on and off once, or a normal restart when it will not interrupt a needed call; neither guarantees a fix.
- Escalate with useful, limited details. Send the order reference, exact model and region, OS version, error wording, which of the four states you reached, and approximate place/time. Hide QR and activation codes, full IMEI/EID, bank details and other account data in screenshots. Never share a password, OTP or PIN.
Before issuer assistance, do not delete or reinstall the eSIM, reset the phone or reset network settings. Keep the profile in place. Disabling a line and deleting its profile are different; QR reuse and transfer are subject to issuer rules.

Common questions
I only have one phone: how do I use the QR?
If manual entry is offered, use the exact SM-DP+ address and activation code supplied with delivery. QR-image or link handling depends on device and software. Ask support if an option or code is missing; never upload the QR to a public decoder.
Installation is refused, or Add eSIM is missing
Check reliable internet, the exact regional model, software and carrier-locked (JV) status. EID alone does not establish installability. A used/invalid code, issuer activation or profile capacity can also matter. Record the error and ask support; refunds follow the published policy conditions.
The profile installed, but there is no data
A visible profile and working internet are different. Enable and select eJugaar for Mobile data, allow Data Roaming for that service, and check validity and remaining data. Follow the installed, enabled, registered and working checks below.
There is signal, but a webpage will not load
Signal bars can indicate registration, not working data. Briefly turn WiFi off and confirm the selected data line. Change APN only with exact issuer instructions; do not guess a Jazz or another carrier APN. If it still fails, send support the error, model and location.
The phone says there is no room for another eSIM
Stored-profile capacity and active-line limits vary by model. Inspect the list without deleting an existing profile. Ask the issuer which line can safely be disabled and whether reissue is needed; disabling and deleting are different actions.
Should I delete, transfer or reset to fix it?
Do not delete/reinstall the eSIM, reset the device or reset network settings before issuer assistance. QR reuse and transfer depend on the issuer; the same code is not guaranteed to work again. Provide an order reference, never the secret QR/code, OTP or PIN.
