A non-PTA phone may use a compatible roaming eSIM, but non-PTA status alone does not establish compatibility or working service. Check the exact regional model, carrier lock, plan requirements and coverage. An eSIM changes how a mobile profile is delivered; it does not register the phone or automatically add calls and SMS.
Local eSIM and roaming eSIM are different products
eSIM is a way to store a carrier profile in the phone. A local carrier can offer it with a local number; a roaming data provider can offer a data-only profile. The format alone tells you neither the registration rules nor included services.
eJugaar’s product is data only. It does not supply a Pakistani number, ordinary calls or SMS, and it does not register an IMEI. Historical DIRBS roaming guidance is not a substitute for checking current PTA requirements.
Before paying: three checks
Find your exact regional model in the phone checker, confirm the manufacturer’s eSIM support and verify carrier unlock. EID is useful identification, not proof of installability.
Decide whether you need SMS or a local number. Then use your observed data usage and required days in the plan selector. All allowances are totals, with the stated validity; future usage can differ from your estimate.
Installed, enabled, registered and working are different
Installed means the profile appears in settings. Enabled means its line is turned on; choosing it for mobile data is another required setting. Registered means it has attached to a mobile network. Working data means an internet request succeeds on that selected line with WiFi off.
Use the install guides and ordered checks. Keep other SIMs’ roaming and automatic data switching under control. Do not delete or reinstall the eSIM, reset the phone or reset network settings before issuer assistance.
What to expect from data
Apps can use the connection, but coverage, speed, latency and individual app access are not guaranteed. Bank and account verification can still need the original number or bank-specific checks; read the OTP guide.
For expiry and extra data, follow the options shown for your order. A top-up is only available where offered for an unexpired profile; it does not remove a carrier lock or add SMS. Read refund conditions before installing.

Does this register my phone with PTA?
No. An eSIM profile does not register your IMEI, pay duty or change its PTA status.
Can I keep my old SIM in the phone?
Where the phone supports that SIM combination, you can keep another line for its services and select eJugaar for data. Check which line handles calls, SMS and roaming before testing.
Does it work on every phone?
No. Exact regional model, software and carrier lock matter. EID alone is not enough; use the checker and the manufacturer’s documentation.
What happens when the data runs out?
Data service stops when the allowance is exhausted. Check whether a top-up is offered for your unexpired profile, or use WiFi. Extra data never adds SMS or changes PTA registration.
