WhatsApp can use mobile internet, but a data-only eSIM does not supply the phone number, SMS or calls needed for account verification. An already registered app and a new login are different situations. Keep access to the number attached to your account. Connectivity also depends on coverage, remaining data, device settings and the app’s own availability.
Your account number and your data line are different
Selecting eJugaar for mobile data does not itself change the number registered inside WhatsApp. Do not use Change number simply because you added a data plan.
If WhatsApp requests registration or reverification, follow its current official process using your own accessible account number. Its SMS method can require sending as well as receiving SMS on that number. eJugaar cannot supply those SMS or a verification call, and support cannot override the check.
First prove that mobile internet works
After installation, enable the eSIM, select it for mobile data and enable roaming as directed for the eJugaar line. With WiFi briefly off, load a small webpage. A visible profile or signal bars alone do not establish working data.
If the webpage fails, use the ordered install diagnostics. If it loads and one app fails, check that app’s mobile-data permission and official service/help status. Do not delete the eSIM or reinstall an account-dependent app as the first fix.
Messages, calls and data allowance
WhatsApp messages and in-app voice or video use internet data rather than conventional cellular calling minutes. That does not guarantee every call or feature will be available on every network.
Video, backups and app updates can consume the allowance quickly. Check your own measured usage and use the plan selector; the GB shown are total for the plan, not a daily or unlimited allowance. Use WiFi for large backups when suitable.
What this service does not replace
No eJugaar plan adds SMS, ordinary calls or a Pakistani number. Banking and other account verification can have additional requirements even when a webpage works; see banking and OTPs.
PTA registration, regional eSIM support and carrier lock are separate checks. Check the exact phone before buying. This guide is based on published support information, not a physical test of every app and handset.

Do WhatsApp voice and video calls work?
WhatsApp voice and video can use internet data when the app and network permit it. These are app calls, not cellular minutes; coverage, speed and app availability are not guaranteed.
Will my bank OTP text arrive on it?
No. This data-only eSIM cannot receive an SMS or a verification call. Keep access to the number used by the account and follow the service’s official verification options.
Does my WhatsApp number change?
Adding a data eSIM does not itself change your WhatsApp account number. Avoid changing it unless that is deliberately what you want and you can complete WhatsApp’s verification.
And how long does a local SIM keep working?
A local SIM’s device-registration rules are separate from app data and plan expiry. Do not assume a fresh countdown; confirm your IMEI status with PTA and the carrier.
