Samsung phones and eSIM

Manufacturer specifications for the Samsung models in this catalogue, including regional exceptions. These are source checks, not hands-on tests of every handset.

Last updated — 18 Sep 2026

37 of 39 Samsung entries list eSIM support; 0 more depend on the regional or carrier version. In One UI the eSIM lives under "SIM manager", and one eSIM can run alongside the physical SIM at the same time. Some Middle East dual-SIM units are the exception, so do check the EID.

The ones to check first

No eSIM hardware at all

The chip is not in these at all, so no update and no setting will ever add it. For these models the answer stays no.

Not on the maker’s own eSIM list

Samsung’s own published list of eSIM devices does not include these. We would rather answer no than sell a plan that cannot install.

Not sure about your unit?

The same model is built differently for different countries, so the phone in your hand needs checking. Dial *#06#: an EID beside the IMEI means the phone has eSIM hardware. Also confirm that eSIM is enabled and the unit is unlocked for another carrier; an EID alone does not confirm that a plan can be installed.
